It’s that time of year when I start to panic… how do the holidays always sneak up on me? I mean, I know they’re coming. It’s not like the date changes from year to year. Yet I always get to mid-December and realize there are a few (or several) people on my list I haven’t found a gift for yet. So I reached out to a few romance author friends to find out what they recommend this year. Hopefully you’ll get a few ideas!
Tina Gallagher, author of fun and sexy romance, absolutely loves these MUK LUKS Cabin Socks from Kohls.com!
“They’re so soft and comfy and the quality is really great. I live in Pennsylvania and it’s getting chilly. These keep me nice and warm whether I’m doing chores around the house, writing, or curled up with a good book.”
Before living her dream as a full-time author, Tina worked a spectrum of jobs ranging from baking and cake decorating to marketing and project management. In between creating memorable characters, traveling, and taking pole dance lessons, Tina enjoys spending time with her handyman husband and two grown children. You can find Tina at her website or on Facebook.
If your gift recipient is a tea lover like Kat Drennan, check out her recommendation.
“I love a specialty tea because it takes a tiny ritual to brew a cup of tea, setting the mood to tuck into the corner of the couch or prop my feet up for a fresh air read on the patio.”
If you don’t know what kind of tea your recipient might like, try a variety pack such as this one from Amazon.
Kat Drennan’s work, whether contemporary romance, women’s fiction or historical, makes the words disappear on the page to take you right into the story. You can find Kat at her website or on Facebook.
Lucy Eden found us a great item for the romance lover on your list… a hoodie from Hello Lovely. If you haven’t visited their website, you’re missing out! They have a wide variety of clothing and accessories that would thrill any romance reader.
Lucy Eden is the nom de plume of a romance-obsessed author who writes the kind of romance she loves to read. She’s a sucker for alphas with a soft gooey center, over the top romantic gestures, strong & smart MCs, humor, love at first sight (or pretty damn close), happily ever afters & of course, dirty & steamy love scenes.
To learn more about Lucy, visit her website or follow her on Instagram.
Zoe Beth Geller, author of steamy hockey romance, shared one of her favorite holiday treats.
“I love the Maple Cinnamon Pancake three wick candle from Bath and Body Works but you can only find them from 3rd party people on Amazon. Their Christmas hand sanitizers are small and smell good!”
Since the Bath and Body Works version isn’t available, similar scents can be found on Amazon.
Zoe says each day is another idea for a book or series. When she’s not writing she’s with family and friends for dinner parties and games. You can learn more about her on her website or on Facebook.
When it comes to adding books to a holiday gift list, I couldn’t agree more with Jade Royal‘s recommendation of J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood.
Sexy vampires form this mysterious band of brothers and the books are full of twists and turns that will leave you guessing and begging for more! If you haven’t heard of the Black Dagger Brotherhood yet, you’re missing out!
Jade Royal is an International Bestselling author who writes in a multitude of romance genres including: BDSM Romance, Paranormal Romance, and Romantic Suspense. Most of her stories have dark elements, strong women, and stubborn alpha men.
You can find Jade on her website or hanging out on her Facebook page.
M.L. Philpitt, whose debut paranormal romance is coming soon, added another book recommendation to our list… a suspenseful romantic mystery series… The Randalls by Gail Haris.
M.L. says “This series is emotional, pure, raw, and intense. Each book is better than the last!”
Keep up with M.L.’s upcoming release on her website or by giving her a follow on Facebook.
Our final book recommendation comes from USA Today Bestselling Author Christina Tetreault.
One of her all time favorite authors and books is If I Had You by Lynn Kurland, the second book in the De Piaget series.
Christina is a mom to three daughters and two crazy dogs, and a contemporary romance author in that order and writes in a few contemporary romance series. You can find her reading order on her website and catch up with her on Facebook.
In addition to the awesome recommendations above, here are a few of my own…
My fellow western author, AJ Pine turned me onto this 2021 Cowboy Calendar. I can’t decide which month I want to spend more time in but I can tell you, 2021 is already looking way more appealing than this year and I can’t wait to flip to January!
I was gifted this amazing little book, Find Your F*cking Happy, by one of my author besties, Jody Holford. If you know of someone who’s been struggling to find their joy this year (isn’t that ALL of us?!?!) this would make the perfect stocking stuffer!
And last but not least, if you or another romance reader on your list, are craving a guaranteed happily ever after, I hope you’ll check out my new Romance Happy Hour Book Box! It’s full of signed romance books and hand-picked items I’ve chosen that will put a smile on your face throughout 2021.
I hope you enjoyed hearing from some of my romance author friends and are able to finish your holiday shopping for the romance reader in your life. Or maybe you found some suggestions to add to your own wish list! I’d love to hear what YOUR favorites are!
