The Gals who’ve got my back

Girlfriends

Writing a book is an awesome endeavor. Daunting, thrilling, exhausting, never-ending… I could add a whole bunch more “-ing” words here, but some of them might have to be censored. One thing I learned early on is that you’re only as good as the peeps you surround yourself with. So, as a shout out to the gals who’ve got my back, the ones who are willing to drop everything at a moment’s notice and engage in an hour-long discussion over whether one can realistically use the word “probing” in a steamy scene, who will prop me up after an unproductive day at the keyboard and send me inappropriate GIF’s… I want to say thanks! Thanks for being on this crazy, thrilling, $@#%ing amazing journey with me. This list is nowhere near complete, as so many awesome, giving writers have had their fingers in my business along the way. But here are a few of them:

Christina Hovland, author of humorous contemporary romance and chocolate maker extraordinaire, can be found plotting, storyboarding and brainstorming her next cast of quirky characters. She’s promised to make me chocolate martinis when we get to meet in person. She thinks I’m going to forget and she’ll be off the hook. She’ll learn soon enough… I never forget when vodka is involved. 😉

I met Jody Holford kind of by accident in the world’s longest Twitter message. She’s one of the few people I talk to on a regular basis who actually lives farther north than me. Her sweet stories make my toes curl, my heart swell, and give me the warm fuzzies. Check them out… she’s won awards, people!

Renee-Ann Miller,  who’s always up for an unfiltered late night conversation, pens wickedly witty historicals and is a double Golden Heart finalist. Keep an eye on this one. She’s about to take off!
