So many businesses have had to shut their doors to walk-in customers lately, including indie bookstores. If you’re in need of some new reads, I hope you’ll consider supporting your favorite indie bookstore if they’re still offering online shopping. And if you’re looking for an indie bookstore to show some bookish love, here are a few of my favorites…
Content Bookstore is located just southeast of me in charming Northfield, Minnesota.I was invited to attend a fabulous event when they launched their romance section. The staff is wonderful and they’re committed to helping readers find the right book for them. Shipping for one book is only $.99 and right now they’ve got boredom busting bundles that are curated by their booksellers based on a questionnaire you complete. You can visit them here: https://www.contentbookstore.com/
Located outside of Chicago, Love’s Sweet Arrow just opened last year and is already making a name for themselves as one of only a few romance-only bookstores in the United States. They offer $1.00 shipping and some fun surprise boxes! The owners are always happy to make recommendations. You can find them here: http://lovessweetarrow.com/ .
It’s impossible to talk about indie romance bookstores without highlighting The Ripped Bodice. They continue to offer online shopping to readers, along with custom care packages. If you’d like to offer support beyond buying books, they also have an account set up with patreon where subscribers receive exclusive content. The Ripped Bodice can be found here: https://www.therippedbodicela.com/
There are so many more fabulous indie bookstores that support the romance genre. Here are a few lists of places that might be in your area.
